Scout awarded his Eagle

Anthony Thomas Reeves-Crouch was awarded his Eagle with the Boy Scouts of America program earlier this month.

The honor was presented to him by his scout leader Mike Burdett and past leader Larry Allen, both of Carson City. The ceremony was held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Many of his friends and family were there to celebrate with him. Out-of-town guests included grandparents Tom who was also an Eagle and Lois Murdoch from Half Moon Bay, Calif., uncle and aunt Tom and Debbie Murdoch from Pollock Pines, Calif.; grandmother Arlene Crouch from Elko and grandparents Ron and Helen Reeves from Reno.

Anthony is a senior at Carson High School and has been in the marching band for the past four years. For his Eagle project, he designed and built cabinets for the band room at Carson High School. He thanked Al Shankle Construction and Lowes for donating all the materials for the project and Larry Holloway, CHS band director, for his ideas and support.
