Three women arrested in Nevada escort services crackdown

SPARKS, Nev. -- Three women were arrested on suspicion of soliciting prostitution in a sting operation targeting escort services, officers said.

The three suspects are accused of offering to perform sex acts for money after they responded to hotel rooms. They were lured to the rooms by officers who made calls to local, unidentified escort services.

Police said the ongoing investigation is focusing on building cases against operators of escort services.

But they declined to elaborate, saying it would jeopardize future sting operations.

Booked Friday into the Washoe County Jail were Juanisha King, 21, Deborah Ann Smith, 40, and Shena Stevens, 20. Bail was set at $1,115.

In the telephone directory, Reno-area escort services say they have escorts available for travel, dinner and all social occasions.
