Monday evening a very nervous woman in the city read that item and was was so devastated, her live was despaired of.

Belief, as well as a hope, that beer will be legalized has prompted the management of the famous Carson Brewing Company to arrange for resumption of its Tahoe beer, which was noted throughout the West.

Mrs. Claire M. Hurley of Stewart dies. She is the widow of the late Martin L. Hurley, and was a teacher at the Stewart Indian School and the Indian service for 25 years, the last 18 at Stewart. She was a member of the order of St. Francis.

20 YEARS AGO

Total valuation of building permits for September was $5,875,204 mainly due to the new Mervyn's valuation of $1,658,136. Included were six signs at $26,350.
