Obituary: Hortense Keller "Kay" Tinkham

Funeral services for native Nevadan Hortense Keller "Kay" Tinkham will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. She was 99.

She died Oct. 24, 2002, in Reno. She was born Aug. 16, 1903, to Charles and Eda Keller in the mining camp of Dutch Flat in Paradise Valley near Golconda.

She lived in Hazen and Reno as a child and was a Nevada resident for 76 of her 99 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years N.A. "Tink" Tinkham.

Mrs. Tinkham was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and the Nevada Artists Association.

She is survived by her sons,John and Calvin of Reno, three nieces and a nephew.

Interment will follow the service at Walton's Carson Gardens.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
