Police on Wednesday identified a Yerington man killed in a Highway 50 accident on Sunday.
Richard Lee Conroy, 64, was one of two men killed in the head-on collision near Kelsey Court three miles east of Dayton.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, preliminary reports show Mark Joseph Whitney, 26, was driving east about 7:45 a.m. when his 1969 Buick two-door sedan crossed the double-yellow line into oncoming traffic.
Another vehicle was able to avoid a collision by swerving to the right, but Whitney's car then slammed into a 2002 Toyota pickup driven by Conroy and carrying passenger Beverly Bilge, 62, of Brentwood, Calif.
Bilge was treated and released from Washoe Medical Center.
Whitney and Conroy were pronounced dead at the scene.
