Clausen, Kornmayer promoted

Kirk Clausen has been named regional

president and Jay Kornmayer chairman for

Wells Fargo Bank Nevada, N.A.

They succeed Laura Schulte, who held

both positions and nowoversees Wells

Fargo community banking

for the California,

Nevada and Border

Banking regions.

Clausen will be

responsible for the 104

Wells Fargo banking

stores inNevada. He

began his career at

Norwest Bank (now Wells Fargo &

Company) in Sioux City, Iowa, in 1975,

serving in many positions including loan

officer and retail bank manager.

Later, after working with Norwest

Investment Services, Inc., Clausen was

named vice president of Norwest Bank

Wisconsin and eventually was named executive

vice president and northern Nevada

regional manager in 1999.

Clausen serves on community boards

including the University of Nevada Reno

Foundation, and is co-chair of the

Northern Nevada United Way campaign as

well as chairman of the Economic

Development Authority

of Western Nevada.

Kornmayer, a Nevada

native and 28-year veteran

of Wells Fargo Nevada,

leads the Nevada

Regional Commercial

Banking Offices and is

also responsible for serving

the needs of the gaming industry in the

company's 23 banking states. He is a

national gaming industry expert and frequent

speaker at industry conferences.

Kornmayer is also currently chairman of

the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. He

will continue to lead the RCBO while representing

Wells Fargo in a variety of public

affairs and community roles .
