The Association of Engineering
Geologists last week honored the Sparks
Marina Park with its award for
Outstanding Environmental and
Engineering Geological Project.
Projects honored by the group demonstrate
the uses of environmental and engineering
geology to the solution of a problem,
show respect for the environment and
history and provide an opportunity for
public education.
Earlier, the American Public Works
Association honored the Marina Park as
its major project of the year.
