Lyon County deputies combed the area around the end of Dayton Valley Road on Friday night in search of a missing person.
Neighbors called in an abandoned vehicle Wednesday night, deputies said.
The truck, left southeast of Dayton, has Colorado license plates, is brown with a camper and is missing its front grill.
Friday's search crew included a tracker examining shoe prints in the area and numerous deputies, but no ambulance, a hiker reported.
