Obituary: Dale Bannister

Dale Bannister, 72, an Incline Village resident for 30 years, died April 11, 2003.

Mr. Bannister was an electrical contractor. He loved music, singing, dancing, acting and skiing and he often performed with the Tony Austin Trio. He was also an avid golfer and was involved with the Elks Lodge and the Optimist Club.

Among his survivors are his sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Al Wilhelm of Sonora, Calif.; former wife Elaine Bannister of Brookings, Ore.; children Clark and Scott Bannister of Gardnerville, Sharon Gassaway of Reno, Susan Van Grove of Long Beach, Calif., and son-in-law Tim Van Grove and grandchildren Trista and Travis Schumacher of Long Beach, Calif., Michael and Mitchell Gassaway of Reno, Jennifer Stone of Walnut Grove, Calif., and Jessica and Jaime Bannister of Gardnerville.
