Thomas C. Stuart

A memorial Mass for Thomas C. Stuart, 80, a Fremont, Calif., resident for the past two years, and former Carson City resident for 15 years, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Teresa of Avila Church. A reception will follow.

Mr. Stuart died July 12, 2003. He was born July 26, 1922, in Detroit, Mich.

He loved sports and was a long-time Little League and American Legion baseball coach. He enjoyed playing golf and taking trips on cruise ships. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, Elks Lodge, Foresters and the Knights of Columbus. He volunteered at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.

He served in the U.S. Navy and fought in World War II.

He was preceded in death by sons Chuck and David and sister Winnie Thies.

Among his survivors are his wife of 27 years, Marge Killian Stuart of Fremont; daughter Kathleen Warren of Fremont; son and daughter-in-law Thomas M. and Kathy Stuart of Riverside, Calif.; son Allan Killian of Fremont and son and daughter-in-law Michael and JoAnn Killian of Boulder Creek; sister and brother-in-law Betty and Mike Lorence of Carson City; sister Frances DeClerk of Detroit; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 3000 N. Lompa Lane, Carson City NV 89706.
