Tops: Sparks vacancies and Meadowood rents

The highest office vacancy rates in the region 16.73 percent are in Sparks, NAI Hale Day Gallagher Co.

said in a mid-year analysis of the office rental market.

The tightest markets, the company said, are the Meadowood area with a 9.95 percent vacancy rate and the southwest region with a 9.66 percent vacancy rate.

The downtown's office buildings posted a 12.8 percent vacancy rate, and buildings in the western downtown area were 12.31 percent vacant.

Airport-area offices were 14.8 percent vacant, and South Meadows properties posted a 13 percent vacancy rate.

Rents ranged from a low of 85 cents a square foot for some downtown spaces to $2.65 a square foot in the Meadowood area, the company said.
