Clara Prentiss Hewitt, a Carson City resident for the past 19 years, died Aug. 3, 2003, at the Evergreen Healthcare Center in Carson City. She was born in 1908 in Anadarko, Okla.
In 1956, she moved to Fallon, where she was a longtime employee of Churchill County Telephone and Telegraph.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, O. L. "Tex" in 1986.
Among her survivors are her sons David L. of North Hollywood, Calif., and John P. of Carson City; and six grandchildren.
At her request, no service is planned.
Cremation will be at Walton's.
