Sparks Bookends, a bookstore owned by Peter and Michelle Fossum, has opened at the corner of Vista and Baring boulevards in Sparks.
That's west across Vista from the new D'Andrea Ranch Marketplace.
Michelle Fossum said the couple, recent emigres from northern California, saw a need for a bookstore to serve the growing population of north Sparks.
Sparks Bookends, a general-interest bookstore, is open 10 a.m to 7 p.m.
Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.
to 6 p.m.
on Saturday and 11 a.m.
to 5 p.m.
on Sunday.
