David Lowell Shaughnessy, 42, died Jan. 23, 2003, in Elko. He was born Sept. 6, 1960, in Reno, to Mike and Dawna Shaughnessy.
He was a former Carson City resident.
Mr. Shaughnessy was a nurseryman for the Kimberly Nursery in Elko at the time of his death.
He served in both the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army.
Among his survivors are his parents of Carson City; grandparents Rod and Martha Sherman of Sparks; son, Andrew Denney of Reno; sisters and brothers-in-law Kim and Art Angelo, Marion and Dave Erickson and Shannon and Tim Dry, all of Carson City; brothers and sisters-in-law Patrick and Becky Shaughnessy of Redding, Calif., and Nathan and Kim Guinan of Florida; aunt and uncle Marie and Dave Wilson of Redding; 10 nieces and nephews; and several cousins and great-aunts and uncles.
A private family memorial will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Lions Children's Camp Dat-So-La-Lee, 11000 Osage Road, Reno, NV 89506.
