Kindermusic classes offered

The Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department is offering Kindermusik classes for parents and children. The class encourages development through the use of instruments, vocal play, singing, movement and fun.

Kindermusik Our Time

A 30-minute class for children 18 months to 3 years of age and their parent or caregiver. Students will learn finger plays, listen to the sounds of the world around them, explore instruments, move to music, and enjoy storytime. Classes are 9:15-9:45 a.m. Wednesdays, Wednesday-May 21. Cost is $115, plus a $50 home material fee due the instructor.

Kindermusik Village

A 30-minute music and movement class for infants to 18 months. This class excites babies' senses with instrument exploration, vocal play, singing, creative movement and colorful literature. Classes are 11-11:30 a.m. Wednesdays, Wednesday-May 21. Cost is $115, plus a $60 home material fee due the instructor.

Kindermusik Imagine That!

Three-to-4-year-olds will develop socially and emotionally as they sing, move, create, listen, pretend, and play instruments. Parents and siblings share in the last 10-15 minutes of the 45-minute class. Classes are 2-2:45 p.m. Wednesdays, Wednesday-May 21. Cost is $130, plus a $50 home material fee is due the instructor.

Kindermusik for the Young Child

In this one-hour class, 5-to-6-year-olds explore music, singing, moving, listening, creating and reading and writing music. Classes are 3:30-4:40 p.m. Wednesdays, Wednesday-May 21. Cost is $150, plus a $70 home material fee due the instructor.
