So what if last week's spring fever was just a tease? Just because the mercury has dropped, it doesn't mean you have to waste the weekend stuck inside your electric blanket. Toughen up! Do something fun and let this list be your guide.

Saturday

-- Spend a day pretending to be lost at sea. The Northern Nevada Boat, Sport and RV Show at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center has plenty of sea- or lake-faring vessels to check out, as well as wakeboards, tubes and other water toys. The event runs from noon to 9 p.m. today, and from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Cost $8. Call 852-7469.

-- Finally, a pair of ears to hang on your every word. Does it matter that they're floppy? Join PAWS for Love at North Valleys Library, 1075 N. Hills Boulevard , Suite 340 in Reno, and read books to pooches. Call 827-3232.

--Insane Clown Posse gets ready to rock the New Oasis, 2100 Victorian Ave. in Sparks. Doors open at 7 p.m., and it's $20 to get in. Call 359-4020.

-- Everclear brings their brand of pop-punk to Caesar's Tahoe at 9 p.m. Shell out the $31 and show them some love -- even if it has been awhile since they've had a hit single. Call 1-800-648-3353.

-- How about hanging out with someone more wild than you? For one day only Animal Ark, 1265 Deerlodge Road north of Reno, will open its doors for a winter viewing. See North American predators as well as tigers and snow leopards from noon to 4 p.m. Admission $6 adults, $4 children, age 2 or younger free. Take Highway 395 North past Reno to Red Rock Road, go right 11.5 miles to Deerlodge and turn right. Call 970-3111.
