Financing for Carlin project completed

Great Basin Gold Ltd., a Vancouverbased company, said last week it completed a $10.1 million private-placement financing.

Part of the proceeds will be used for development of the company's Ivanhoe project, a gold and silver prospect on the Carlin Trend of central Nevada.
