Leisure Hour meeting will hear Cecil W. Creel, director of the Nevada Extension Service, on "Agriculture and Growth of Farm Organizations." A pageant, the "Evolution of the Warm Woman," will be presented by 16 ladies depicting styles from the Indians to present day.

50 YEARS AGO

Assembly adopted a resolution unanimously assuring cooperation with Gov. Charles Russell. It noted that since the 1953 session began, the press has reported certain differences in opinion between the Assembly and the governor.

20 YEARS AGO

Representatives from community groups asked for money, but chamber president Dave Osborn said if the city economic picture should improve, the chamber could use a little more money. Request was for $10,000. They had provided one-third of the chamber budget, but was now down to less than 10 percent, requiring 150 new members to balance.

10 YEARS AGO

Starship Generation Gap on Jan. 16 rocketed off into song-and-dance space to begin its third year of music for the seniors' monthly dances.
