A memorial service for Paul W. Stewart, 75, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3460 Spruce Ave., Gardnerville.
Mr. Stewart died Dec. 18, 2002, at Tahoe Pacific Hospital in Sparks. He was born Aug. 17, 1927, in Paul, Idaho, to Albert and Alma Schmidt Stewart.
He moved to Reno in 1950. He was a businessman there and in the Tahoe and Carson City areas. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf.
He was preceded in death by his siblings and a grandchild.
Among his survivors are his wife of 52 years, Marilyn; children Edwin Stewart of Orem, Utah, Connie Eby of Vallejo, Calif., Beth Smith of Gardnerville, Michael Stewart of Okinawa, Japan, and Katherine Thompson of Jacks Valley; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
