A memorial service for Mary Bersani Steneri, 92, a Carson City resident, will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.
She died Jan. 12, 2003, at her home. She was born May 5, 1910, in Reno, to Henry and Nuncia Filipelli Bersani.
Mrs. Steneri retired from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she was a maintenance worker. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Donald; and sisters Palmera Devencenzi and Katherine Minetto, both of Reno.
Among her survivors are her daughter, Marie Walters; grandsons Dale and Monte Walters of Carson City; granddaughters Susan Vincencio of Yerington, Laurie Cardano and Annette Meehan of Reno; niece, Nancy Blakemore of Las Vegas; and five great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 705 S. Wells Ave., Reno, NV 89502; or to a charity of choice.
