Obituary for June V. Gibson

A service for June V. Gibson, 80, a Carson City resident for the past 14 years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Mrs. Gibson died Jan. 12, 2002, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Oct. 22, 1922, in San Francisco, to Alden and Marion Christansen Potter.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Pacifica, Calif.

Mrs. Gibson was an accountant and an avid tennis fan. She volunteered at the Carson City District Attorney's Office for the past few years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Gibson, and son, Tom Wegg, of Sonoma, Calif.

Among her survivors are: son Robert Wegg of Carson City; daughter Melissa Caldwell; grandchildren Lorrie Moser of Carson City, Linda Wegg of Washington, Lisa Taylor of Oregon, Cindy Sireika of Sparks and Jim Wegg of Reno; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; niece Sandra Hickox of Carson City; and nephew Bill Potter of Del Mar, Calif.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
