Altair, WMU partner

Altair Nanotechnologies Inc.

and Western Michigan University last week announced that they will team up on nanomaterial science research for chemical and biological weapons detection and in nuclear waste remediation.

Altair and WMU will jointly develop titanium dioxide nanoparticle sensors for the detection of chemical and biological weapons.

WMU is a leader in nanobioenviromental chemistry research and the founding entity of the Nanotechnology Research and Computation Center located in Kalamazoo, Mich.

Altair is a Reno-based supplier of nanomaterial technology.
