PF Chang Bistro coming to Reno

Chang China Bistro in Reno will open its doors next month on Kietzke Lane, near McCarran Boulevard.

The 7,000-square-foot restaurant will seat about 220 diners and include a bar, covered patio, private dining room that seats 18 and two 17th century Chinese mural reproductions.

The restaurant, which plans to open on Feb.

24, will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.

It will be co-owned by P.F.

Chang China Bistro Inc., based in Scottsdale, Ariz., and local investor Jennifer Wilson.

The partners have a five-year contract, according to P.F.

Chang spokesperson Laura Cherry.

The Reno restaurant will be the company's 83rd Asian food eatery.

"Reno was one of the top three cities that was requested on the comment section of our web site," said Cherry.

The Reno restaurant will also mark the launch of a new store design and updated menu, she said.

The Scottsdale, Ariz., company plans to open between 15 and 17 new venues in 2003, said Cherry, including operations in Albuquerque,Tampa, Fla., and Grapevine, Texas.
