The Nevada Landscape Association and its members donated nearly $55,000 to date in labor and materials to create a test plot area at Truckee Meadows Community College's Dandini Campus.
One of the benefits of the donation to TMCC students will be an increase in hands-on class time, which was previously taken up with travel time, according to Ellis Antunez,TMCC professor of architecture.
