Obituary: Dorothy Cassidy

A memorial service for Dorothy "Jean" Cassidy, a long-time Dayton resident, will be at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church's chapel.

Mrs. Cassidy died March 11, 2003, while visiting her daughters in Seattle.

Mrs. Cassidy worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Comstock Printers in Carson City. She was a volunteer member of the Dayton Valley Fire Department, the Valley Fire Department and most recently the Six Mile Canyon Fire Department.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald P. Cassidy; grandson Patrick; and great-grandson Joseph.

Among her survivors are her sister, Shirley Turner of Detroit; daughters Cathy Horton of Seattle and Marlene Feroe of Vancouver, Wash.; sons Michael Cassidy of Dayton and Kevin Cassidy of Virginia City; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
