Boomtown gaming revenue flat in 2002

Boomtown Reno's 2002 gaming revenue was unchanged from the prior year, said Las Vegas-based Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc., the owner of Boomtown.

Overall net revenue at the property declined 1.2 percent, Pinnacle said, mostly because of lower retail fuel prices at the property's gas stations.

Revenues for the fourth quarter were up 1.6 percent compared to the prior year fourth quarter.

Winter storms during the 2002 holiday season dampened gaming revenues, but the decline was offset by increased fuel sales at the Boomtown gas stations.

Hotel occupancy and average daily revenue were unchanged from 2001, Pinnacle said.
