Chuck Alvey, president and chief executive officer of the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada, has earned the designation of Certified Economic Developer.
The exam for the designation, which covered subjects ranging from finance to marketing, was administered in January.
Alvey has been president and chief executive officer of EDAWN since 1998.
