Hess Microgen of Mound House has been selected to supply distributed generation systems and services for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc.
Hess Microgen will supply packaged cogeneration systems at Starwood properties in the United States and abroad.
Projects at The St.
Regis Monarch Beach Resort and Spa in Dana Point, Calif., and The Westin Maui in Hawaii, are planned for this spring.
Both companies expect the onsite power projects to be concentrated in the California, Hawaii, and New York markets, where electric rates are high.
The company employs about 80 at its manufacturing facilities at Mound House.
