US Global Aerospace Inc.
of Carson City said last week that a test found its cockpit security door can be installed on an Airbus A320 in less than eight hours, compared with installation times of 200 manhours for competitive products.
The company develops anti-ballistic materials, and is seeking FAA certification of its cockpit security door.
The time needed to install a security door is important, the company said, because a plane is out of service during installation.
