Crisis communications discussed

Brand, a public affairs volunteer for Sierra Nevada Chapter of the American Red Cross, will discuss "Crisis Communication-Lessons Learned from Sept.

11" at Wednesday's meeting of the Public Relations Society of America Nevada Chapter.

The luncheon runs from 11:30 a.m.

to 1 p.m.

at the Circus Circus Reno Hotel and Casino.

It is presented in honor of National Red Cross Month.

Admission for the luncheon is $15 for PRSA members, $20 for non-members and $10 for students.

Brand joined the Sierra Nevada Chapter of the Red Cross in March 2001 and also serves as a disaster trainer, community disaster preparedness presenter and vice-chairman of the Disaster Committee.

In addition, she has been a member of the Red Cross Disaster Service Human Resources program since 1995 and had assignments in New York City after Sept.

11 attacks and also worked during the Winter Olympic Games In Salt Lake City.
