Carolyn McDonald, 85, a Minden resident for the past two years, died March 16, 2003, at her home. She was born Jan. 20, 1918, in Butte, Mont.
After graduating from high school, she moved to California and worked as a photographer in San Francisco.
She retired to Calistoga, Calif. where she became a gifted artist, painting many vineyard scenes and local landscapes. She was a member of the Calistoga Art League.
Among her survivors are her husband Edgar and daughter Karen Chalhoub, both of Minden; son Russell Lee of Eureka; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
