Obituary: Ruth Lee Larson

Ruth Lee Larson, 87, a Carson City resident for the past four years, died March 27, 2003, at Eagle Valley Care Center. She was born Nov. 1, 1915, in Canada, to Herbert H. and Anna J. Bodner Shiels.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Minden, coming from Portola, Calif.

Mrs. Larson was a secretary in the insurance and medical industry. She enjoyed reading, playing the slot machines and she loved to travel. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a Worthy Matron of the Portola Chapter. She was a Presbyterian.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Wilbur V. Lee in March 1961; second husband I.W. "Todd" Larson February 1994; brother Jimmie Shiels; sister Helen Shiels and granddaughter Linda Marie Lee in August 1986.

Among her survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law Ronald E. and Helen Lee of Minden and Robert D. and Bonnie Lee of Mission Viejo, Calif. and granddaughter Laura Suzanne Lee of Sacramento, Calif.

A private family service will be at a later date at the Inglewood Park Cemetery in California.
