Sierra Pacific Power has joined a program in which its employees can purchase 31-day Citifare Bus Passes at a 40 percent discount through a payroll deduction plan.
The program allows workers to buy the bus passes with pre-tax dollars, and the company's costs are a deducible business expense.
The Regional Transportation Commission said other companies that participate in the program include Circus Circus Hotel Casino, Eldorado Hotel and Casino, Fitzgeralds Casino and Hotel, Harrah's Reno, Manpower, John Ascuaga's Nugget, Reno Hilton, Silver Legacy Resort Casino, Washoe Health System and Western Village.
