Joseph J. Scarlato, 69, a Carson City resident for the past five years, died May 8, 2003, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Dec. 30, 1933, in Connecticut to Joseph and Hildur Peterson Scarlato.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Phoenix.
Mr. Scarlato was a meat cutter.
He served in the U.S. Marines.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Renee Hernandez.
Among his survivors are two nieces, two nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
