Dr.
Jay W.
Mason has been named medical director for the Reno-based central diagnostic services of Covance Inc.
Mason will be expanding Covance's ECG services for its pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients and will continue his research on repolarization phenomena.
Mason is currently chairperson for two National Institutes of Health Data Safety Monitoring Boards and is a consultant to the FDA.
He was Chief of Cardiology at the University of Utah for 16 years before becoming Chairman of the Department of Medicine at the University of Kentucky.
