A funeral for Doris May Barrett, 63, a longtime Gardnerville resident, will be at noon Friday at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barrett died Nov. 2, 2003, at home in Topaz Ranch Estates. She was born Nov. 13, 1939, in Oakland, Calif., to Julio and Juanita Combs Christine.
She graduated from San Leandro High School in California in 1958.
Mrs. Barrett was a longtime employee of Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp. in Oakland, where she was an accounting supervisor. She enjoyed cross stitch, quilting and sewing. She was involved in the Douglas County Senior Center in Gardnerville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Thomas Nov. 24, 1999.
Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law Yvette and Robert Kvasnicka of Minden; daughter Renee Morris; son Cliff; fiance Walt Peacock of Topaz Ranch Estates; grandchildren Jaqueline and Brittany Kvasnicka, Jimmy Morris, Brandon and Amber Barrett; and aunt and uncle Suzanne and Carl Combs.
Burial will be at Happy Homestead Cemetery at South Lake Tahoe.
