Hilma Blalock

A funeral for Hilma Blalock, 82, a Carson City resident for the past 10 years, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Walton's.

Mrs. Blalock died Nov. 19, 2003, in Carson City. She was born March 12, 1921, in Cedar Creek, Ark., to Dennis and Minnie Blish Cockburn.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Antioch, Calif.

Mrs. Blalock was a homemaker. She was active with the Carson City Senior Citizens' Center. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert in 1993; and son, Robert in 2003.

Among her survivors are her daughters Connie Evans of Carson City and Minnie Aconpora of Oakley, Calif.; sisters Alma Bontadella of Visalia, Calif., Reba Reese of Texas and Sally Lopes; brother, Dennis Allen Cockburn of Visalia; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
