Cherish E. Riley, 26, a Carson City resident for the past five years, died Sept. 19, 2003, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Jan. 8, 1977, in Orange County, Calif., to Randall and Judy Norton Riley.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
Ms. Riley attended Wolfgang Puck University of Culinary Arts in California. She was a certified pastry chef and a certified accountant.
She was a member of the Young Marines and was active in many LARP groups, including SCA and Amtgard.
Among her survivors are her son, J.T.; mother, Judy Norton of Carson City; father, Randall Riley of Southern California; sisters Ashley and LisaLe; brothers Chad and Brett; and many friends.
Cremation was at Capital City Cremation & Burial Society.

A private service was held.
