Billye M. Campbell, 83, a Carson City resident for the past five years, died Oct. 5, 2003, at Evergreen Care Center. She was born Feb. 6, 1920, in Avery, Texas, to Roy Clinton and Elizabeth S. Richardson Black.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Texarkana, Texas.
Mrs. Campbell enjoyed the senior citizens center, playing the nickel video poker slots, crossword puzzles and her cat.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde R., in 1995; and a grandson.
Among her survivors are her daughters Beth Nakayama and Jane Orozco of Carson City and Kerry Dausener of Olympia, Wash.; brother Roy P. Black and sister Jerry Tenbrook, both of Texarkana; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
No service will be held. Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
