Obituary: Mary Noone Clark

A funeral Mass for Mary Noone Clark, 89, a Carson City resident, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Hawthorne.

Mrs. Clark died Oct. 7, 2003, at her home. She was born July 6, 1914, in Goldfield to Jack and Ellen Archer Noone.

She graduated from Esmeralda County High School in Goldfield in 1932 and Munson College in San Francisco in 1934. She also completed coursework at Western Nevada Community College.

She retired from Sierra Pacific Power and the Mineral County Power System. Her career centered on office administration and bookkeeping. Other organizations she served during her career included the Goldfield Deep Mines, Tonopah & Goldfield Railroad, the city of Hawthorne and Hawthorne Utilities.

Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ellen and Robert Komac of Carson City; son Jim of Minden; son and daughter-in-law John and Sharon of Las Vegas; grandchildren Dave Clark of Cincinnati and Susan Lynch of Las Vegas; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice, 235 W. 6th St., Reno, NV 89503; to the Central Nevada Museum in Tonopah or to a charity of choice.

Gunter's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
