Granite meets NDOT project deadline

Granite Construction Co.

has completed a restoration project for the Nevada Department of Transportation covering approximately 100,000 square feet of roadway on Pyramid Way from North McCarran Boulevard to C Street in Sparks.

The seven-day schedule for the $700,000 project was requested by NDOT in an effort to reduce the impact to the community.

Granite developed and implemented an innovative project plan that incorporated significant planning and coordination, 24-hour scheduling, and a substantial amount of crew and equipment.

Granite successfully completed the project on time.

Project specifics included roadbed modification, paving and traffic signal modification.

Project engineer was Chris Burke and the construction manager was Kevin Atkins.
