IGT merger vote stalled in court

Acres Gaming Inc.

and International Game Technology said last week that the U.S.

District Court in Nevada has delayed a stockholders vote on their proposed merger.

The vote of Acres' shareholders had been scheduled for Friday.

A lawsuit claims Acres' directors violated their fiduciary duties to their stockholders in connection with the proposed merger.

The federal court sent the case to a state court and prohibited the vote on the merger until the state court can rule.

The federal court took no position on the merits of the case.

Acres executives said they continue to believe that the lawsuit is without merit and will schedule a shareholders' meeting after the court makes its ruling.
