Boy arrested in school death-threat investigation

DAYTON -- A 13-year-old Dayton boy was arrested Tuesday for allegedly making death threats against fellow students at Dayton Intermediate School, said Capt. Jeff Page of the Lyon County Sheriff's Department.

"Students and faculty reported the threats, and we investigated," Page said.

The unnamed teen was charged with suspicion of threatening to cause bodily harm or death to a pupil or school employee by means of oral, written or electronic communication. He was turned over to juvenile-crime authorities after being arrested, Page said.

The case is still under investigation, he said.
