A memorial service for Paul Stephen Sutherland, 52, a resident of Eureka, Calif., resident for the past six months, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hilltop Community Church, 3616 N. Sunridge Drive.
Mr. Sutherland died Sept. 4, 2003, in Eureka. He was born Aug. 16, 1951, in Powell, Wyo., to Leonard and Miriam Riggio Sutherland.
He attended Carson Junior High School, Carson High School and the University of Nevada, Reno.
Before moving to Eureka, he lived in Marysville, Calif.
Mr. Sutherland was a traffic safety engineer, working for Caltrans.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1967 and mother on Jan. 11, 1999.
Among his survivors are his daughter, Tara of Las Vegas; sisters Karen Martin of Pleasanton, Calif., and Lorraine Sutherland-Beatty of Nevada; and brothers Len of Gardnerville and David of Duluth, Ga.
In lieu of flowers, his daughter has requested that mourners bring notes of remembrance, pictures or any other mementos pertaining to her father.
Pierce Mortuary Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
