Attempted kidnapping

Two men tried to kidnap a Carson City boy Friday evening in the 2900 block of Century Drive, according to sheriff's department reports.

At about 7:40 p.m. a silver Acura with blue lights along the bottom pulled up to the boy - whose name and age have not been released - according to the report. One of the two men, believed to be about 21 years old, told the child to get in the car.

According to the person who called 911, the boy saw a handgun in the car and immediately ran away.

The vehicle left heading west on Sherman Lane toward the airport.

The Carson City Sheriff's Department is investigating the report. Anyone with any information regarding the incident is urged to call 887-2020.
