Reno's Helen Eddy Rutherford was honored by the University of Nevada, Reno's Orvis Nursing Clinic at a reception last week for her many contributions to the school.
including establishing an endowment fund in 1991.
Rutherford worked for Valley Bank of Nevada and was the first Nevada woman to be named a senior banking vice president.
She retired in 1981.
