Cutthroat fishing season to open at Catnip Reservoir

The 2004 fishing season for Catnip Reservoir will open Sept. 1 and will remain open through Nov. 15.

Catnip Reservoir is located within the Charles Sheldon Antelope Range in Northeastern Washoe County.

It contains a nice population of Lahontan cutthroat trout.

Fishing is permitted any hour of the day or night during the special season.

The limit is zero trout (catch and release only).

Only artificial flies and lures with single barbless hooks may be used at this reservoir.
