Emma M. Hutzler, 85, a Carson City resident for the past 46 years, died Aug. 7, 2004, at home. She was born Oct. 3, 1918, in San Antonio, Texas, to William and Myrtle Vollrath Herms.
She married Archie Hutzler July 2, 1938, in San Antonio. He preceded her in death.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in San Antonio.
Mrs. Hutzler worked for Hodges Transportation for 40 years. She enjoyed sewing, camping and cooking. She was an Episcopalian.
Among her survivors are her daughter Carol Joost of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law Cynthia and Donald Redican of Meridian; extended family Henry Hodges, Hank Hodges Jr. and Dorothy Hodges Pona; grandchildren Shannon Rechenmacher of Reno, Karen Joost of Carson City, Dawn Myers of Meridian, Karla Joost-Harrison of Carson City and Shelly Redican of Eagle, Idaho; and four great-grandchildren.
No service will be held.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
