Evelyn H. Pope, 83, a Stagecoach resident for the past year, died Aug. 13, 2004, in Stagecoach. She was born Sept. 11, 1920, in Decatur, Ill., to George and Eva Pearl Rommel.
She married Chester Pope on Aug. 18, 1936, in Decatur. He preceded her in death in Portland, Ore., Oct. 14, 1985.
Before moving to Stagecoach, she lived in Fairfield, Calif., for 20 years.
Mrs. Pope was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, David.
Among her survivors are her daughter, Shirley Ketterer of Stagecoach; grandchildren Greg Chaffin of Reno and Robin Matthews and Kerri Shirley, both of Stagecoach; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.
At her request, no service will be held.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
