A motorcycle rider killed Sunday evening on the Mount Rose Highway has been identified as 60-year-old Hans Bentley of Incline Village.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, Bentley was riding his blue BMW motorcycle toward Incline Village when he lost control and was ejected from it.
He had failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and went off the road to his right, according to a report from Sgt. Ron Larson.
The motorcycle crossed the paved shoulder and continued onto the dirt before striking a metal road marker and then a dirt embankment.
Bentley was pronounced dead at 7:53 p.m. at the accident scene.
